Self-Reflection Through Travel

Throughout Life, it’s important that we take a step back and reflect on ourselves about how we really feel. This quick blog identifies how to utilise and do this whilst you take a break from your daily life routine when going on holiday or to travel.

Self-reflection allows us to assess ourselves, the rights and wrongs in our lives, the ups and the downs. No one’s life is perfect, we all have our strengths and weaknesses, our good and bad days.

It’s all about confidence Baby! Or so the song goes… Self belief plays a huge role in your confidence and everyday living, it’s what makes us who we are and how we go about life. As far as self-reflection goes, there are a number of different factors which can help determine how you feel about yourself:

Identifying what’s bothering and stopping you from becoming the best version of yourself is the best place to start. Asking yourself the hardest questions isn’t easy, but it’s important to do so in order to seek self care and peace. Whether it be a period of Loneliness, toxic Job, or just feeling stressed about life in general, ask yourself, does this serve my greater purpose? Is what’s troubling you raising your energy, or lowering it?

Even though happiness comes from within, lots of us also view our Friendships and Relationships as a source of joy. Having someone look out and care for you even on your toughest of days can make a world of difference. You may think your kind act is small, but it might be someone’s light in the darkness. These kind acts provide us with support helping us to keep moving forward. You truly never know how much someone might have needed a simple message, gesture, hug, laugh, reminder.

Photos! You can never take too many Photos in life, and you can always delete those you don’t want after. Photos can act as a source of remembrance, something that you can look back on throughout life with a smile on your face. They show times where you were at your best enjoying life, and the key fact is, Photos = Memories.

At the end of the Day, ask yourself those questions: Does this align with the life I want to live? Does this make me feel good now, and in the future? Are the choices I am making for myself, or for others? Doing what’s best for yourself to protect your happiness and peace is important, you only get one life, live it!
